Alex Cline is a systems architect and educator focused in the development of effective communities and services through digital infrastructure. Alex holds a PhD in Digital Platform Studies from the StoryLab research institute at Anglia Ruskin University, an MA in Digital Material Culture from the University of Sussex, and a BA from the New School in the Philosophy of Media Systems.

Alex is currently an Assistant Professor at Northeastern University’s London campus, and is a member of the NU Lab for Texts, Maps and Networks. In 2021, Alex was a Teaching Inquiry Fellow at the Center for Advancing Teaching and Learning through Research. Alex currently leads the bootcamp in Digital Service Design and Management, funded by the Department for Education and Greater London Authority.
